DPP Data Events include sustainability or other information that you can attach to a blockchain-based token.
Because these DPP Data Events include data associated with a specific token, they can be viewed as a Digital Product Passport using the pre-formatted Token Explorer interface, or they can be rendered in a bespoke layout with customized branding using the PicoNext Enterprise APIs.
Because blockchains are immutable, once a DPP Data Event is published and associated with a token on a blockchain, it cannot be edited or deleted. Because of this, make sure the data you send to your token is final, because it cannot be changed after it is published.
If you do make an error after publishing the DPP Data Event to a blockchain, it can be corrected only by issuing a new DPP Data Event (similar to a news organization publishing a correction to an article after its initial publication).
You can easily publish sustainability information within the DPP Planner interface in a streamlined publishing workflow, similar to the DPP Data Events workflow for blockchain-based DPPs .
