With a branded marketplace, you can create a page that offers specific tokens from your wallet for sale, using branding that reflects your company's look-and-feel. This way, you don't have to direct your customers to external, third-party marketplaces to complete their token transactions. You can keep them on your branded channels and maintain greater control over the user experience.
To create a branded marketplace, follow the steps below:
1. Navigate to the Marketplace page from the console.
2. Then, press the Add button to start creating a new community.
3. On the Add marketplace page, fill in information about your new marketplace on the four tabs.
4. On the Info tab, provide basic information about your marketplace in the following fields:
Page name Fill out the name of your marketplace. This name will appear at the top of your page
Page description Provide a brief description of your marketplace and its purpose. This description will appear as a subheader on your page.
Publish status Select whether your page is published, and end-users can access it.
Page keyword Provide a keyword that end-users will be able to access your page by. For example, the keyword will be at the end of a URL like this: https://connect.piconext.com/showcase/KEYWORD. When you click away from this field, the system will let you know if the keyword you've selected is available for use.
On the header tab, you can customize the imagery and colors of your page using the following fields:
Marquee image The marquee image appears as a cover image to your page, at the top. You can upload images to your image library and select from them. Or you can browse a stock image library and use those images.
Header image The header image appears at the very top of your page, centered in a background defined by the Header background color. To include a header image, select a JPEG, PNG, or GIF file from your computer to upload to your page.
Header background color The Header background color is at the very top of your page, and contains the Header image. You can select this color using the color palette that appears.
The Links tab allows you to add HTML links to your Marketplace page to feature specific content on an external Web site. Use the following fields to add links to your page:
Links Add text links to the About section of your page using the Links field. These links will display as text links below the description section.
CTA (Call-to-action) Links These links display below the text links in the About section of the page, and include a blue button background with an arrow. They are designed to stand out more and catch the user's attention.
In the Tokens tab, you can select which tokens you wish to offer for sale. To do so, use the tokens to display for purchase field below:
Tokens to display for purchase To list tokens for sale, first make sure your wallet is connected. Then, press the Select Tokens button, which will display tokens in your wallet on a specific blockchain network. To add tokens and offer them for sale, press the diagonal arrow next to each token. You will then see the token displayed on your tokens to display for purchase list. You will need to set the price you would like to list each token for sale at, as well as the quantity available for sale (applicable only to ERC-1155 tokens). To remove tokens from the access list (before the marketplace has been saved initially), press the red Delete button next to the token.
Note: All tokens listed for sale must be from the same blockchain network (e.g. Ethereum Mainnet, Ethereum Sepolia, Polygon Mainnet or Polygon Amoy) and must be of the same contract type (e.g. ERC-721 or ERC-1155).
Once you have finished adding (or editing) your marketplace, press the Save button.
To finalize the listing of your tokens on your branded marketplace, you will need to complete two transactions in your wallet: A. A transaction that gives PicoNext permission to transfer tokens from your wallet address to the purchaser's wallet, subject to them paying the listed price for the token, and B. A transaction that lists them for sale on the blockchain.
When your Marketplace is saved successfully, you will see a green Updated timestamp on your list of Marketplace pages.
You can view your Marketplace by pressing the blue external link button on the list of your Marketplace page. This will open your Marketplace page in a new window in your browser, and you can see how the information you've entered during the Marketplace creation process will be displayed.
The Web page URL that opens is the URL you can give to your customers to purchase your tokens. To purchase a token, follow the instructions in Buy tokens from a branded marketplace.
