Both the DPP Planner and DPP Data Events pages share a common data field for adding sustainability information.
To add data, begin by typing text in an individual data field
To add bold or italic formatting to your text, select the text and press the Bold or Italic button.
Text entered into a data field is by default in a normal paragraph. To separate out text into a highlighted blockquote section, first select the paragraph. Then, navigate to the Block type menu and select the Blockquote option.
To add an image to a data field, press the Image button. Then, you can upload images to your media library, or select an already-uploaded image from the media library. You can also browse a selection of usable stock images and add them to your media library. When you select an image from your media library, the dialog window will close and the image will be placed at the bottom of your data field. To place the image in a different position within your DPP data field, select the image, and use the Cut (Ctrl + X / Command + X) and Paste (Ctrl + V / Command + V) functions of your device's clipboard to adjust the positioning.

To link to an external Web site from within your DPP Planner data field, first enter text. Then, select the text you've entered for your link, and press the Link button. Then, enter the address (URL) for your Web link in the URL field. You can also enter an optional title for your link, which is used to assist disabled users in navigating the screen.
You can change the icon that displays next to your sustainability data in your Digital Product Passport by selecting a different one from the drop-down menu in the Icon section.
The DPP Planner capability of PicoNext allows you to enter a Reported Date for each DPP data field, in addition to the Published Data that is recorded automatically by the system. When you save your DPP data on a blockchain, or in the cloud, PicoNext automatically records a Published Date for each data field. For sustainability events that may have happened on a different date than this Published Date (for example, significantly in the past), PicoNext allows you to add a Reported Date to reflect when the activity actually happened.
When users view your Digital Product Passport in Token Explorer, the DPP data events will automatically be sorted from newest to oldest by the Published Date, if no Recorded Dates exist, and the date displayed for each DPP data event will be the Published Date.
If Recorded Dates exist in your Digital Product Passport, the events will be sorted from newest to oldest, and the date displayed for each DPP data event will be the Recorded Date. In this instance, the user will have the option to select whether he or she views Recorded Dates or Published Dates when viewing the Digital Product Passport, through a toggle switch at the bottom of the DPP.
To configure the default sorting of Published Dates or Recorded Dates for an individual token (for example, if you want the default sorting to be from oldest to newest), view the article, Adjust Display Options using Token Config.
You can select a category for each DPP data field using the Category drop-down menu. DPP data fields loaded through the Load template or Add attributes tabs are automatically associated with a category. You can select a different category for the data using this field. Categories allow the user to filter DPP Data Events easily when viewing the DPP using Token Explorer, through a drop-down menu that automatically populates all the categories used in the DPP.
To modify the label of a category, or to create a new, custom category, view the article, Customizing DPP category labels.
The DPP data field has a maximum character count of 3000 characters. Fields containing data above 3000 characters will prevent the DPP data field from being saved, or from being sent to the blockchain, until the number of characters is decreased to 3000 or below.
To delete a DPP data field from the DPP Data Events page, press on the red Delete icon next to the DPP data field. This will remove the DPP data field from list of DPP Data Events.
Because the DPP Data Events page holds data temporarily in anticipation of associating it with a token, if you remove a DPP data field in error, you will need to re-send it from the DPP Planner, or re-create it within DPP Data Events.
Note: Deleting a DPP Data event does not remove it from the blockchain; it simply removes it from the staging area from the DPP Data Events that will be sent to the token.
