Redeem loyalty reward with QR code
Your customers can redeem token-based loyalty rewards with a simple, easy-to-use QR code workflow. They navigate on their smartphones to a special redemption page and verify they hold the correct token. Then, you scan a QR code that appears on your customer's smartphone to mark the token reward as having been redeemed.
Find the redemption page URL
To start, make sure you have created a loyalty reward as described on the Create Loyalty Reward page. Then, navigate to the list of the loyalty rewards you've created.
View your redemption page
To view your redemption page, press on the External Link icon. You can then distribute the URL of the page to your customers (like via email).
Download redemption page URL as QR code
Alternatively, to download a QR code of your redemption page URL, press on the QR code icon. You can then download a QR code of your redemption page URL. You can have customers scan this QR code at the point-of-sale when they wish to redeem their reward, in order to begin the redemption process.
Connect a digital wallet
Once the customer has navigated to the redemption page, they'll need to connect their digital wallet by pressing the Connect Wallet button.
Validating the token-based reward
After connecting their wallet, PicoNext validates if the user (1) holds the correct token associated with this loyalty reward and (2) the reward is able to be redeemed, in accordance with the redemption rules set for the reward. If the user is able to redeem the token, the page displays a QR code. If not, the page displays an error message
Finalize redemption
To finalize the redemption of the token-based loyalty reward, the employee who is helping the customer redeem the reward needs to scan the QR code that is displayed after the customer validates they hold the correct token. Your employee can scan this QR code with any smartphone camera that can read QR codes. After scanning this QR code, the reward will be marked as 'redeemed' and you can deliver the reward to the customer.
